J.Crew sweater, similar | Poppy finch necklace – back in stock | Pillows on sofa – faves from Etsy
Some of the best finds come from this favorite store!
Every season (or more like every few weeks) I find myself perusing the J.Crew website, and I always find something stylish and fun. Of course, some seasons are better than others, as is always the case in the fashion world — but this is a good one! I’m not suggesting you run out and buy your whole wardrobe there — ha — but if you’re selective, you’ll find pieces that make literally hundreds of outfits. And even better, many of these can be worn most seasons. So … great selection, stylish, and versatile. You can’t go wrong with these amazing J Crew finds!
Since we’re in the middle of gift-giving season, several of these items make great gifts for yourself or for a loved one. I noticed today that some items are on sale, which is an added bonus. Keep reading to see my recommendations, and at the very bottom, I’ll share a handful of items I have in my cart 🙂
P.S. This post isn’t sponsored by J.Crew, and all opinions are my own based on years and years of shopping there.
#1 Coats
J.Crew cocoon coat, new colors here | Sequin skirt | Graphic tee, similar | Black heels
J.Crew is a favorite destination for good quality, well-priced coats. The colors are beautiful, and the coats are classic that enough you’ll wear them for years. An added bonus is often – they’re on sale! My favorites: The Cocoon coat I’m wearing above and the Chateau Parka are the best-selling shorter, more casual coats. The Classic Day Coat and Double Breasted Topcoat are best-sellers too. Most of the coats come in extended sizes, including petites, which is an added bonus!
#2 Sweater dresses
J.Crew dress | Givenchy handbag | Gucci sunglasses
This dress is a good one, and the colors are SO pretty! I love the brown one, and a pretty pink one was just added. I found this dress to run a little roomy – I’m wearing an xxs, and I’m never that size! If you’re taller than me (5’1″), then check out this newer cashmere dress. It reminds me of a designer piece but at a fraction of the price!
#3 Sophie cardigan
Left: Sophie cardigan | Michael Stars tank | Mother denim | Right: Sophie cardigan | Allsaints tee (with shoulder pads!) | Mother denim | Dior bracelets | Givenchy bag | Mules
The Sophie cardigan is SO good, and works throughout the year, weather depending. It’s cozy like a sweater, but looks polished like a blazer and makes loads of outfits. One combo I love right now is layering a cashmere hoodie under the cardigan, and wearing them with denim and a sneaker. Try this one, I’m positive you’ll love it! It runs true to size.
#4 Cashmere crew sweaters
J.Crew cashmere tee | Gucci scarf | Mother denim | Jimmy Choo bootie
I’ve written time and time again about these cashmere crew sweaters, and I can’t begin to tell you how versatile the light gray one is (it’s under the scarf!). I realize this mirror selfie isn’t the best quality, but I wanted to share this amazing new splurge scarf (and the bootie too) and how well it works with the gray sweater. Spending a little more on a designer piece here and there really does elevate your basics!
#5 PJs
J.Crew hoodie, similar here
Some of my favorite pjs come from J.Crew. I recently picked up this striped pair which you can see in this video. I adore all the plaid styles, and the joggers are super comfy and fit nicely. I’m wearing last year’s Christmas tree version in the photo above. Don’t forget the guys, there’s a great selection for them too. These always sell out, so don’t wait!
#6 Juliette cardigan
J.Crew cardigan | J.Crew white popover shirt | Gucci bag, similar | Celine sunnies
Another winner of a cardigan, the Juliette runs really big — like almost two sizes big. But it’s a great one when you want a little coverage, plus it’s perfect over dresses. I’ve worn this one over and over again — it looks especially nice with the Anine Binge tee — and it will complete almost all your outfits!
#7 Blazers
J.Crew red blazer | Anine Bing tee | Paige Denim | Prada shoe | Givenchy bag
This red blazer jacket is a recent addition to my wardrobe, and it’s so nice to have a bright color to get me through the rainy days here in Portland! I purchased this one in a petite size 4, and it fit perfectly. Watch this video I made with my Nordstrom stylist friend — we styled it several different ways! Two classic blazers that are best-sellers are the Parke and Regent styles. Both available in great colors and extended sizes and often can be found on sale!
#8 Rain jacket
Rain jacket | Chelsea 28 sweater, similar | Faux leather leggings | Golden Goose sneakers
Talk about a great staple at a really reasonable price! The color selections are really fun and the hood sure comes in handy 😉 Wear this rain jacket with your faux leather leggings and an oversized sweater like this one, and of course with any denim and sneakers or boots!
