New Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Finds + What’s on My Radar
Every year, once the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale kicks in, I end up discovering new things. I’m always a little surprised, given the hours spent researching the catalog and online selection — but it never fails! Some of the best pieces show up after the first few days, whether they’re late shipments or just easy to miss the first time around. But, the best part is they’re usually in full stock. For example, today I noticed this gorgeous burgundy leather coat, this long wool Vince coat, and this new Barbour jacket. These are all really good pieces that are still available.
Today’s post is about some new NSale pieces I just found, and what’s on my radar lately. You absolutely have to check out this one-shoulder top, this yellow jacket, and this beauty fave. And, just today I spotted this navy cashmere dress! There are also a few discoveries that are either brand new or best-sellers – check them out below.
Pro-Tip for items that may have sold out: Add a wrong size for the item you want to your cart. Keep checking on it since the inventory gets updated hourly, and returns have started to come in. When it comes back in your size, grab it! Another idea is to purchase the wrong size, and wait until after the sale to hopefully exchange it for the correct size. For some reason, the day after the sale ends, hot items often miraculously show up. Happy shopping 🥂

It’s always a little crazy that new things roll in one week after the sale started, but it sure is exciting to see new things, and they’re fully in stock. Here’s an example of what I’m talking about: Vince just dropped two wool coats, this and this. I spotted a new Barbour jacket – fully in stock. Same with Sam Edelman – look at this and this. I noticed some new things at Reiss including this sweater, this dress.

I love sharing my latest finds with you, and in between all the Nordstrom sale things, there are lots of new arrivals. Recently I posted two videos here & here where you can see what I found. Some highlights include the Farm Rio jacket above (love) that quickly sold out, but I found it here. Also love this yellow scarf skirt, these new jeans that keep selling out, this gorgeous silk Staud dress, and this new Tuckernuck green sparkle dress that won’t last!

Everyone I know is trying (and buying) the Rag & Bone Miramar jeans/pants that are really more like sweatpants! They’re perfect for long flights, running around town, and everything in between. I’ve been getting questions lately about how to style them, so here are a few ideas. For starters, looser is better, and they do run a little big, so adjust accordingly. I love them with simple flip flops, sneakers and a pointy toe flat. The look I keep seeing everywhere is a button up shirt – can be worn open like a jacket with a slim tank layered under. So chic.

A couple of months ago, my daughter Emily and I started a Substack – Susie & Em Unfiltered, which you can check out here. We’re still getting the hang of it, and often having little back-and-forths on what it should look like! Mostly we agree … but you know how it goes if you have a first born child 😉 It is true though, we’ve been doing this together for years. The outfit checks, the “you have to try this,” the travel planning, and the running commentary on basically everything. So we figured it was time to let you in on it.
We spend a lot of time deciding what pieces are worth buying, the places worth traveling to, and the products worth the hype. This is our happy place. It’s also occasionally our disagreement – and we’re not editing that part out! For now, most of the content is free, but as a thank you for our paid subscribers (already 80 + of you!) there will be some exclusive content just for you. Recently, I told my husband he needed an update … again 😂 The “makeover” we did a while back went so well, we decided to do it again this year! I actually used to help quite a few gentlemen during my Nordstrom Stylist days, and I learned many things along the way. So, here’s the scoop … it’s not that different from women. As we know, every good outfit starts with the right bottom. And, for guys, that’s pretty simple: cool, current jeans and slim chino pants. From there, add a couple of different jackets, a few nice shirts, and some stylish sneakers (but comfortable, of course). And … voilà — the guy in your life will look transformed!
