NYC Street Style: This is What Everyone’s Wearing Right Now
This week, I’m back in New York City for Fashion Week! Emily and I are attending a few events and doing some trend shopping, people-watching, and of course, eating 😉 Before we left, she planned our outfit inspo on style boards — everything from travel day to our upcoming event at Brass. It’s always fun to get a little more dressed up than usual! These trips are always so inspiring; I’m already on idea overload, and excited to share everything with you.
One thing I love about traveling is outfit spotting, especially when something resonates. This trip, we’ve already grabbed breakfast at Francescos in Soho, gone trend shopping on the Upper East Side, and had lunch at Bergdorfs. And, I’m noticing that almost every stylish person has these pieces in common: a longer wool coat, statement fur jackets, cool scarves, casual jeans, loafers or boots and great accessories.
Today’s post is about how to get the look that’s so popular in NYC right now. It’s stylish, relaxed and easy, the kind of outfit you’ll wear non-stop through the next few months. It’s one of those outfits that works every single time, whether you’re heading to a meeting or just out for lunch with a friend. Once the weather warms up, you can easily substitute the long coat for a lighter-weight version. Here’s to easy outfit planning!

Coats: Longer styles like this cool scarf coat, this Max Mara one, this best-selling Aritzia one, and this Mango one
Fur jackets: Love these options — here, here and here
Faded jeans: Casual looser leg styles like this AGOLDE, this new favorite, and this Mother one. If you love écru, look at this
Loafers & flats: For a designer loafer, look at this YSLand this affordable version. Also have me eye on backless loafers like this and this. A flat slingback is always a great option, just spotted this new one that I added to my shopping cart
Everyday cool boots: Look at these low heel Stuart Weitzman ones, these cool Khaite ones, and these every day affordable ones by Madewell
Cool accessories: I saw at least five women wearing this scarf, also ones like this or this. Lots of people are wearing cool hats similar to this, and designer bags like this and this. All so chic, and the finishing touches to every outfit
Shopping Day #1
Left: Jacket | Sweater | Jeans | Handbag | Slingbacks | Right: Long sleeve | Trench | Jeans | Loafers | Handbag | Earrings
Jackets are the key to most outfits, like this new leopard jacket and this longer trench
For casual shoes, try these slingback ballet flats or these loafers (stylish and really versatile)
Travel Day
Left: Mango coat | Jeans | Sneakers | Tote | Luggage | Sunglasses | Right: Coat | Tank | Jeans | Luggage | UGG Slippers | Hat | Headphones
Long wool coats are perfect for the airplane, and both this Aritzia one and this Mango one are well-priced, stylish and practical
Totes are perfect for travel, and of course you can go with black (like I do), but how fun is this leopard one
Shopping Day #2
Left: Trench | Stripe sweater | Jeans | Boots | YSL tote | Earrings | Right: Blazer | White tee | Sweater | Jeans | Loafers | Clutch | Belt
This striped Frame sweater works perfectly under many things, including this new trench
This oversized blazer is a classic
Faded jeans seem are perfect any time of year, and this mid-rise Frame jean is super comfy
Dinner & Drinks
Left: Lace top | Scarf coat | Trousers | Snake handbag | Slingbacks | Earrings Right: L’Agence lace top | Trousers | Heels | Clutch | Earrings
If you are looking for the perfect black pant, I found two (I own both & love) — this leg slimming one by Frame and this classic Aritzia trouser
Special black tops are pieces you’ll have for years, like this new lace cami and this gorgeous black lace top
