The Beauty Edit: 15 Favorites I Tell All My Friends to Run and Get

Like many of you, I love to experiment with new beauty products, and even consider myself a bit of a beauty junkie! I’m definitely not a makeup artist, but since I’ve been doing my own makeup every single day since high school, I’ve learned a thing or two about what actually works. I’m lucky to have some great friends in the beauty industry too, so I always have the inside scoop on the best things to try. Today’s post is a roundup of the 15 products I’m currently using, including the ones I recently shared on Instagram and a few extras I just had to add in.

I’ve always promised to be honest with my recommendations, so everything on this list is something I’ve truly fallen in love with. Some of these, like the Sisley Rose Cream Mask my friend wouldn’t stop talking about, I didn’t try right away—but when I finally did, wow was she right! From my favorite long-wear fragrances to the brand-new skincare I just discovered, these are the items I’m telling all my friends to run and get. 1 – Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation – Is the new Luminous Silk Foundation as good as the original? The answer is a resounding yes! I’ve used this foundation for over ten years, and when I heard it was getting re-formulated I was skeptical. Well, it’s even better — just as luminous and lightweight, it feels like skincare. It also gives a nice coverage and makes you look even prettier! If you love foundation, this is one to put at the top of your list.

2 – Dermaflash – Recently, I increased my dose of oral Minoxidil, and all of a sudden I had hair growing on my face 😳 As soon as I noticed, I rushed to my drawer and dusted off this dermaplaning tool. Wow, have I been missing out! It’s super easy to use, your skin feels really smooth after using it, and you’ll never have an unwanted hair again ha ha. This is a lucky find!

3 – Everyday lip combo – Been wearing this Charlotte Tilbury Kidman’s Kiss Lipstick and lipliner in the shade Pink Venus with this Chanel lipgloss #728 for years! While I’d love to branch out, I’m always worried due to an allergic reaction I had many years ago, where my lip swelled out of nowhere. Yes, I’ve been tested for allergies, but this is considered some other random thing – TMI I know 🙂

4 – Anastasia Brow Wiz – Brows make the biggest difference when it comes to your beauty routine, and it’s one of those things I do every single day! This brow pencil is thin so it gives a natural look when filling in your brows, and the brush on the other end is the perfect finishing touch.

5 – Chantecaille mascara  – I love mascara (!!) and this splurge one gives lengthens your lashes without clumping and flaking. It also has growth-boosting ingredients and a conditioning formula, and I think it’s worth the splurge.

6 – Westman Atelier Super Loaded Tinted Highlight – A while back, I had my makeup done with only Westman Atelier products. I fell in love with the Tinted Highlight which gives your face a luminous warmth and glow. The brand is known for clean beauty, and it’s also one of Allure’s “Best of Beauty” winners. For reference, I use color Peau De Peche.

7 – Armani Beauty Blush in shade Euphoric – This is a pretty, peachy blush that looks nice on almost every complexion, and I use it every single day.

8 – Victoria Beckham Portofino fragrance – It’s not often I buy a perfume on the spot, but this one smells so so nice! Next time you’re near the fragrance counter, try it. I just noticed there’s a travel size available, which is a less expensive way to try a fragrance. I do it all the time 😉

9 – Sisley Rose Cream Mask – Last year, after using perscription retinol which made my face peel, my friend insisted I try this mask and assured me my skin would feel amazing the next day. And … it did! Talk about luxurious – and it quickly improved the peeling, thank goodness. I use it a couple of times a week. – apply before bed and sleep with it on. Bonus: it smells incredible.

10 – Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum – According to most dermatologists, a vitamin C serum is a gold standard for skin care that’s known to brighten, smooth and reduce discoloration. For a long time, I’ve been using a splurge one, and so when my mom (who only uses clean beauty) suggested this one, I was excited to try it. Come to find out it’s only $33 – worth every penny!

 

 

And the Final Five …

11 – Elemis Cleansing Balm – I call this a mini-spa in a jar. It’s quite luxurious, and your skin will feel smooth and nourished. Plus, it smells really good! I’ve given it as gifts to all my friends and family, and use it regularly. This is one of my highest recommendations, and it’s definitely one of my top beauty picks.

12 – Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Lotion – This fragrance-free body cream is so good! My girlfriend told me about it years ago, and I always thought to myself, what could be the big deal? Well now I know! It leaves a nice sheen on your skin, and even my photographer asked me what was on my legs. Now I have it in my toiletry kit, on the bathroom counter, and a back up supply as well. Try it!

13 – Santal 33 Perfuming Shower Gel – I always enjoy seeing the beauty produces in hotels, and was excited to find Le Labo in the bathroom of my hotel in McMinnville! Funny enough, my husband couldn’t stop talking about the shower gel, so I surprised him with a bottle when we got home. Now he’s obsessed with the Santal 33 fragrance too. For years, it was my go-to perfume, so this was a lovely way to revisit the fragrance.

14 – La Mer Moisturizer – Talk about luxurious! This ultra-rich cream will make your skin feel rejuvenated over time and is super creamy during application. The trick is to take a pea-sized amount and rub it in your palms until it turns translucent. Then, pat it on clean, dry skin. I use it under my foundation every single day. It’s a treat, but sooo worth it.

15 – Lancome Genifique Face Serum – When you see a beauty product with 14K almost 5 star reviews, you know it’s gotta be good! This serum has been around for years, and it’s one of Lancome’s all-time best sellers. It gives a subtle glow over time, and who doesn’t want that?
