Straight from NYC: 5 Chic Finds You’ll Love
This week’s trip to NYC was extra exciting thanks to all the NYFW festivities 🥂 Our hotel was buzzing, and it felt like there were stylish industry insiders, models and celebrities on every corner. Besides all the people watching, Em and I did a lot of shopping and “blog research.” I love to check out your favorite stores to see the merchandise in person, and it really is the best time of year to start planning ahead since the new-season spring collections are arriving daily.
As we all know, shopping online isn’t always easy. Seeing things firsthand helps me narrow down exactly what I want to feature here for you. Thanks to 10+ years as a buyer for Nordstrom, I can tell right away if a collection looks good and is worth sharing. Staying true to my “authenticity promise” to you, I’m always authentic and honest with my recommendations. So, the pieces that end up on the blog are things I’ve either purchased, tried on, or have at the very top of my own wish list. I don’t always get it right, but I sure do try!
It was a successful trip, and I’m so excited to show you 5 chic finds I found while shopping this week. There was one brand that really stood out, along with a specific color I saw in almost every collection. Keep reading for my shopping highlights, tips on what to buy from your favorite brands, and a few of my own recent purchases. I hope this helps you feel inspired for your own spring wardrobe!

The 2026 Denim Update: 7 Trends to Know & How to Style Them
My Current Faves: New Arrivals + This Month’s Top Picks
#1 Things I Loved and Bought
Leopard jacket | Pink top & matching skirt | Earrings | Vase | Denim shirt | Nest candle | Pink Savette bag
This trip, I ended up purchasing more than usual, like this cool denim shirt jacket that looks great with these faded Mother jeans. At the Tuckernuck store, I picked up this cashmere sweater, brown striped Polo shirt and pink top (above). We also grabbed these earrings, which we’ve already worn. Also splurged on this leopard jacket and this Savette bag (in the poppy color). Then I bought this AWAY suitcase to get it all home!
#2 J.Crew Looks Really Good Right Now

Left: Cable cardigan | Right: Polo sweater – looks so good with the Aritzia Lodge pant
On almost every NYC trip I stop by the J.Crew store. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many new pre-spring, buy now-wear now pieces! This year, they were late to shift seasons (they had ski on their website for weeks), but now there are some great offerings. I always recommend to not wear J.Crew head-to-toe, but instead mix in a few key items to add to your wardrobe.
What’s on my radar: This new trench is so good — grab it before it’s gone! It’s relaxed but not too relaxed, looks more updated than before, and it’s available in petite sizes too. Also consider this polo sweater that comes in pink and light gray. This pink cashmere v-neck was sold out in my size, but I think you’ll love it. And, if you prefer cotton, this rollneck sweater is a best-seller and the color options are all pretty. Also spotted this cropped denim shirt, these classic loafers, this new sweater, and these trouser jeans. It’s worth checking out their new collection here, and look soon because there’s a lot on sale today!
#3 The Tuckernuck Store is Like a Little Jewel Box
Pink cardigan | Mother jeans | White shirt | Skirt | Pink printed dress | Farm rio dress | White dress
Accessories: Raffia bag | Star earrings | Sandals | Bracelets
You all know how much I love Tuckernuck, especially their dresses. They are well-priced, stylish and easy. And, depending on your preference, there are both short and long options. Their cashmere is very good quality, and this style is a great option to wear over your shoulders or with dresses. Get it monogrammed for that extra little touch.
Dress favorites: this ice blue midi, this fun green print and this shorter dress
Vacation edit: Look at this vacation dress, this midi skirt, this fun vacation clutch and these bracelets — see everything here

#4 Found the Best Shoes!
Staud button sandals | Manolo slingbacks | Loafers | Pink Gola sneakers | White slingbacks | Pink satin flats
Shoe recs:
Veronica Beard: this snake sandal, this jelly thong and this new wedge
Rag & Bone: this woven slingback, this mule sneaker and these too
(use my code: SUSIEWRIGHT20 to get 20% off)
Nordstrom: these Vince loafers, these jellies and these new Jimmy Choos
#5 This Color Combo Was Everywhere
Staud dress | Brown striped dress | Earrings | Clutch | Lace tank & matching skirt | Heels | Polo sweater | Blue printed dress | Brown satin dress
Think soft whites, pale blues and all shades of brown. It feels new and fresh, really wearable, and the perfect way to transition into spring. Some pieces that caught my eye:
Frame’s new collection: Gillian blouse and striped sweater
Vince satin pants, cardigan, satin blouse, and button-up
New arrivals from Tuckernuck: this blue cardigan, midi skirt, and this sweater
What We Wore in NYC

Travel Outfits
Me: Aritzia coat | Zip cashmere hoodie | Lodge pants in crepe | Emily: Aritzia coat | Grey crew sweater | Satin lodge pants
It’s pretty funny when you show up at the airport wearing the same outfit! This isn’t a sponsored Aritzia post — we just love their coats, cashmere sweaters and, of course, the Lodge pants. I’ve been wearing the crepe ones non-stop, and Emily just purchased the satin ones. Both can be dressed up or down!
