The Best Things I Bought in 2025! 🌟
Seven years ago, when I started this little online fashion journey, I had no idea that I’d make so many friends on the internet! It has been a gift of a lifetime, and I’m very thankful to all of you for following along. In the beginning, I was devouring every podcast, YouTube video, and blog post possible in order to do my own research. One of the first things I listened to was a podcast with Emily Weiss, founder of Glossier. She wasn’t a beauty artist or a businesswoman initially, and wasn’t proclaiming to know everything. However, since she was doing many photo shoots, she was discovering amazing makeup products that, in her words, were “too good not to share.”
Well, that’s exactly how I feel. When I started this adventure, I was a personal stylist working out of “Room 3” at Nordstrom, helping clients one-on-one with whom I had built relationships over the years. It was a dream job, and I loved every minute of it! When a new arrival would roll in, if it was good and I liked it, all the clients I helped that day went home with it as well! It was too good not to share … and that’s what this blog is all about.
Today’s post is about my favorite purchases of 2025. The goal is to feature items that are bound to sell out, and that will stand the test of time. My hope is that you’ll get dressed every day and feel stylish and confident. For this post, I walked around my house looking at everything from the coffee table book to my favorite new chandelier to all the cool things in my closet, and I’ve included them. This is one of my favorite posts to write, and I hope you enjoy it! Happy eleven days before Christmas ♥️ Susie xx
Denim, Denim and More Denim

Left: Navy jacket | Mother jeans | Prada pumps | Veronica Beard bag | Right: Rails jacket | Frame black jeans | Bottega bag
Paige Anessa – The jeans that really do fit everyone! This past summer, my Nordstrom Stylist friends and I all agreed to share one jean – and after trying lots of styles on, this is the one we chose. It’s soft, stretchy, and super stylish! Favorite washes include this light wash, coated denim, and this black/grey wash. There is a petite option, which you can find here.
Mother Kick-it – This is the latest favorite that everyone who tries it on, buys it! If you’re looking for a long length, straight leg style this is the one. It’s leg lengthening, comfortable and right on trend. Look at this medium wash and this really flattering black wash. I own both! Mother Hustler Roller – These might be the ones I gravitate towards the most — I wear them all the time in this black/gray wash. Similar to the Paige Anessa, but they taper in just a smidge from the thigh to the knee. Don’t let that worry you, because they’re also super stretchy and comfortable. Available in a light wash here, and petite sizing here. Lil’ Mother jeans – Drumroll … these have been a game changer for those of us under 5’4″ so I decided to go all out and be in “testing” mode. Favorite fits include: Mother Hustler Roller, the light wash is here (have this too), Hustler ankle (wear pretty much every day), and the Reifler, which is a slightly lower rise than most. Reminder, these all come in regular sizes too. Frame Le Sleek Ankle – This is another straight leg style that hits at the ankle. Sometimes having an ankle length jean is better to wear with flats or sneakers. I just purchased this dark wash, and it’s beautiful. We’ll be seeing lots of rinse washes moving into 2026. Use my discount code: SUSIE15 to get 15% off. AGOLDE Ren – Everyone loves this cool-girl jean, which is a high rise, relaxed wide-leg that’s available in a long length and ankle length. When I noticed this best-selling style in petites, I immediately grabbed them!
Dresses I Wore on Repeat in 2025
Left: Quince linen dress | Sweater over shoulders | Right: Tuckernuck crochet dress
Tuckernuck dresses – I know I go on and on about these dresses, but their own label is really good. I love the crochet one above, and most of the time it’s sold out. But today I noticed it’s back, and they added this pretty light blue color. I also like this one that’s also available in a long length. And, just purchased this pretty one and this tassel one all are perfect for many different occasions!
Quince linen dress – This is another dress I wore all season long, and pretty much rotated between navy and the linen color. It’s a touch shorter than some of the other midi-style dresses, making it petite friendly. This slightly longer style is another best-seller that I also wore on repeat. Staud Phare silk dress – Last spring, I purchased this striped silk dress. It’s super flattering, and I wore it to several different events … and felt a little extra! So, when I noticed it in black recently, I decided to add it to the mix. Click here to see all the colors. And, for reference, it does run a size small, so size up. Alice & Olivia Lucy dress – This is one of Alice & Olivia’s best-selling styles and because of that, they add a new pattern every season. I just noticed this pretty brand-new print that’s perfect for warmer weather now. Since It’s on the shorter size, I sized up — and if you’re tall, you might find it too short.
Favorite Pant of the Year

Left: Guest in Residence red sweater | Aritzia pant | Sneakers | Right: Rag & Bone Miramar | Weekender bag
Aritzia Lodge pant – I can’t say enough good things about this pant, and it’s hands down my favorite pant purchase of the year! It’s a simple drawstring waist in the best crepe fabric that doesn’t wrinkle, and it washes up beautifully, making it the perfect pant for travel. It’s an update from leggings and equally as comfortable. Wear it on the plane with sneakers, and dress it up with sandals. This is a super versatile pant. And, if you’re tall or short, they make both options. For reference, I sized up to a small.
Rag & Bone Miramar pants – This is a close second, and having a sweatpant that looks like a jean is kind of a game changer! Stylist tip: There are several options to consider, including this best-selling Sophie one, which is a wider leg style (wearing it above and had it hemmed). You can get this track pant style or this pull-on style that’s a little bit slimmer. Trust me, you’ll be really comfortable on the airplane. I have a discount code at Rag & Bone: SUSIE15.Stylist tip: Miramar means “viral illusion denim,” meaning that the pockets and other details are actually printed on the fabric. There are two fabrications that I recommend: Refine knit is newer, and it’s a soft stretch knit. I just purchased this pair and they’re quite flattering. The second fabrication, and the one they started with, is cotton terry cloth, which is super soft on the inside and printed on the outside. Most of the styles come with actual zippers and front pockets, and several are a pull-on style.
Vince Pintuck pant – These Italian cotton-wool stretch pants fit nicely and work with everything from a travel outfit to a night out (add a strappy sandal). I’ve owned these for several years — I took a size small, and had them shortened.
2025: The Year of Sparkly Things
Left: Ulla Johnson denim jacket | L’Agence white denim skirt | Right: Veronica Beard top | Necklaces: here, here and here
Lili Claspe cuff – After admiring the splurge Tiffany Bone Cuff for the last year, I knew when I saw this Lili Claspe one it was going to be good. I’ve worn it many times, dressed up or down, and someone always makes a comment. It makes a statement in a very understated, cool way. I’ve seen new versions (here and here) but haven’t seen it in person yet.
Brent Neale Knot Ring – I’ve been admiring this gorgeous ring for some time, and decided to make the splurge. They’re available in several sizes — I purchased the pinky ring. It’s beautiful! Brinker & Eliza bracelet – When I first started So Susie, I wore this heart bracelet all the time, which I still have and love. But, after 6+ years I wanted something new, and now this statement bracelet (in white) is the one I’ve been wearing lately. It also gets lots of compliments, and it’s really easy to wear with so many different outfits.
Beauty Favorites I Swear By
Left: Feather pajamas, similar | Right: Washable silk robe
Dyson Airwrap – I know I’m late to the party on this one, but after a week of bad hair days, I decided I wanted softer curls! This hair tool pretty much works magic, and there are so many thing that I still need to try. I know I’m not alone here — everyone seems to love it!
Dermaflash – Sharing a little TMI here, but earlier in the year, I was taking oral Minoxidil for hair loss. After being on 1/2 pill for many months, my doctor suggested going to a full pill. Then several months later, I discovered hair on my face 😔 Mortified, I pulled out the Dermaflash I’d had for years and started using it. And obviously went back to the half pill! Now, I use it every handful of days, and while I don’t have the hair issue, it does gently exfoliate and get rid of unwanted hairs, and leaves you glowing. Whew!
Here’s 3 more …
Jones Road Miracle Balm – In the fall, a makeup artist friend called to say she had just received her Jones Road Beauty order and was very pleased. I asked her what she loved, so she kindly made me a list of things to try, and now I’m hooked! The Miracle Balm can be used on your cheeks and lips, and it’s glowy and gives you a little flush. Portrait of a Lady – I took my own advice and purchased a tester to try this cult favorite fragrance. Well, it disappeared quickly, so I purchased the bigger bottle. Usually, I alternate wearing it with my other favorite Rouge 540. It’s lovely, and you’ll get compliments all day long. Victoria Beckham Portofino perfume – Another fragrance, I know … but I read about this summer scent, and found it in NYC. It’s so good and perfect for vacation. Although I wore it the other day, and reminisced about summer and warm weather. If you like it, the body oil is also really nice and gives you a little sparkle.
Shoes & Bags
Left: Rails blouse | Agolde jeans | Gianvito Rossi heels | Ivory bag | Right: Staud dress | Loeffler Randall sandals | Clutch
Loeffler Randall sandal – Any time I find a neutral sandal, I know it’s gonna be good. This beautiful, neutral sandal has a pretty champagne colored ball that just gives it a little extra! It’s versatile and the heel height is perfect. Highly recommend these. And, now you can get them in black and gold.
Dolce Vita sandal – I was pretty surprised to see this sandal basically copy the Larroude one above, but for a fraction of the price. I have them in gold and a soft white, and have worn them many times. Just today, I decided to compare the two side by side, and the only difference I can see is that the toe box on the Dolce Vita one is slightly bigger. You can’t go wrong with the price, it’s such a great shoe! Veronica Beard jelly flip flop sandal – Who would think a flip flop would make the list? I love these flip flops and wear them to get pedis, on vacation and sometimes, weather permitting, out and about. The brown color makes them feel a little more dressed up, and you can see them in other colors here.Bags …
Amazon clutch – Kind of hard to believe that an Amazon clutch makes the list, but this Bottega look-alike is really good! I gave it a test because I couldn’t bring myself to splurge, and I’ve been super happy with it. I recently decided to get it in this nice suede version. Naghedi bag – This tote is one of my all time faves! It’s durable, comes in several fun colors, and fits everything you need. It’s the perfect option to have when traveling or running errands.
Jackets: because you can never have too many

Left: Frame swing jacket | Frame jeans | Right: Oak & Fort trench coat | Frame leather pants
Quince scarf jacket – This Toteme knock off is amazing, and walking around one might not notice the difference. It runs roomy so size down, but wearing it a little oversized makes it feel more like the real one.
Reiss scarf coat – I’ve shared this all season on many style boards, and finally decided to order it myself. And wow — it’s even better than I thought it would be! It’s made of double faced wool and the scarf is detachable, which makes it a really versatile coat. The navy feels updated going into 2026. Oak & Fort trench coat – This might be my most-worn coat of the entire year! I purchased it in black and it goes with everything. Perfect for travel, lightweight and flowy, and easy to dress up. I’m so happy with this purchase!
Stylish Tops

Left: Frame blouse | Right: Paige sparkle top | Paige Anessa
Frank & Eileen white shirt – Everyone needs a great white shirt, and this gently oversized one is The One. The fabric is soft and comfortable, and the first button is a little lower which just gives it a more relaxed look. This is a good one.
Zara scarf sweater – I love this sweater jacket so much! It’s comfortable and elegant, and looks good with jeans or even a skirt. Both my daughter and I own it and we wear it all the time. Cashmere hoodie – Everyone needs a good cashmere hoodie! You can layer it under pretty much everything, from a trench coat to gently oversized blazer to a wool coat and even a puffer. I’ve worn this ivory one on repeat for the last few months. Frame Gillian blouse – This is hands down one of my favorite blouses, and many of my friends have it too. It has been around for a while, and I’ve had my black one for years. But, when I spotted this pretty leopard one, I knew it was going to be good! Don’t forget I have a discount code to get 15% off (SUSIE!5). Lululemon Hold Tight Tee – While this isn’t exactly stylish, it really is a staple in my closet year round. I’ve talked about it for several years, but included it again because it’s one of my highest recommendations!
Pretty Things for Your Home

Left: Frame sweater | Paige Anessa jeans | Right: Tuckernuck dress, similar
Coffee table books – I could go on and on about coffee table books! Some favorites include this Italy one, this Slim Aarons one, and this one.
Chandelier – I splurged on two of these Julie Neill chandeliers when we did our recent remodel, and I love them so much! The soft white color just blends in, and they’re so pretty walking into my house! Big candles – When it comes to styling coffee tables, an extra big candle is a must. I have the Jo Malone one in my living room, and the Diptyque in my office. The jars are pretty, and when the day comes that the candle is gone, you can use them as vases for flowers. Glass hurricane – My friend has been talking about these Amazon glass hurricanes for quite some time. So, when mine arrived, I was excited! You can use them as vases, or put candles in them, or anything else for that matter. They look best when grouped together — maybe 3 or 5 of them in varying sizes. I have the large and medium.
