Nordstrom Monthly Drop: 6 Winter Essentials You Need Now

Welcome to the December 2025 Nordstrom Winter Drop! Every month, my Nordstrom Stylist friends and I carefully select six favorite, best-selling items that we think you’ll love … and should probably buy now 😉 These pieces are super stylish, versatile and well-priced. For December, we’ve selected a gorgeous midi dress that’s perfect with knee boots, a classic wool coat you’ll wear all season long, the jean that everyone is loving, and a classic short sleeved sweater that can be worn any time of year. We also included a Madewell crossbody bag that’s available in several really good colors. Keep reading to see 6 winter essentials you’ll wear all season long, as well my honest reviews about each item.

But first … if you’re new around here, this is how the “monthly drops” came to be. My “Nordstrom 6” friends and I found each other during the early days of quarantine and instantly bonded. We are all current or former Nordstrom stylists who started sharing weekly content with you back in 2020. Our goal was to make shopping both fun and inspiring during that challenging time. Well, five years later, we’re still at it! We carefully plan our Nordstrom Monthly Drop and post them at the beginning of every month. Cheers 🥂

The December Nordstrom Drop

1 – Mother Kick It jeans – A long length, straight leg jean that’s very flattering on! My Nordstrom Stylist friend shared that everyone who tries this jean on, buys it. (It’s helpful to have the inside scoop 😉) And, when a brand adds a petite size, you know it’s a good one.

2 – Nordstrom cashmere short sleeved sweater – This cashmere sweater looks similar to this Frame one but costs much less. I like the sleeve detail, and love the idea of wearing a matching sweater over your shoulders like this one. I haven’t tried this one on, but my sources tell me that if you’re between sizes, size down. This sweater runs a little roomier than the one by Frame.

3 – Reiss Lucia coat – Hot UK brand Reiss makes such nice quality coats, they can’t stay in stock. And, they’re available in petite sizes here, which is a total game changer if you’re 5’4″ and under. You’ll love this red color. And of course, you can’t go wrong with basics like this navy one and this camel one. A Reiss coat is an investment piece you’ll have for years to come.

4 – Farm Rio knit dress – Farm Rio is a favorite brand, and this gorgeous print is so charming! It’s the perfect style of dress to pair with boots, and you’ll wear it well into the next year layered with a coat or a cozy sweater.

5 – Madewell bag – Madewell bags are a great value for the price, and many of the styles including this one are inspired by high end designers. I’ve been carrying this tote all season, and the quality is excellent.

6 – Sam Edelman Sylvia boots – This gorgeous knee boot is well-priced and very popular. The heel height is perfect, and it also looks like a designer boot at a fraction of the price. It’s available in wide-calf, and some colors are on sale. My preference is the chocolate brown or black suede — both look super luxe.
