Susie’s Top 25 Picks: All On Sale!

One of my favorite things to do is help you all select the very best items for the upcoming season. And right now, many of them are at reduced prices thanks to Friends & Family Sales. These sales can be a little overwhelming (and exciting) because, well … we all love a good deal. So, check your closets and see what you need — then get ready to have some fun!

Why are the F & F Sales such a big deal? Because they feature brand new spring merchandise, on sale, just as the season is starting. So, now is the time to buy all the main pieces for your spring wardrobe. Most of these sales end soon, so don’t wait!

Today’s post has my Top 25 picks that are worth sharing with you, and they’re all perfect for spring! As you know, I choose what I feature here on the blog very carefully. And, I always follow my authenticity promise: I own these pieces or have tried them on and approve, I’ve gotten the inside scoop from colleagues and friends in the industry, or they’re on my list and I want to try them based on brand knowledge and experience. Take a look at my picks below, and get ready for spring! 🌸

Shoes & Accessories: Best Picks

Left: Aritzia jacket and matching trouser | Veronica Beard Dash bag | Right: Trench | Frame jeans | Slingback | Lady Dior bag

#1 – Stuart Weitzman slingback: If you’re looking for a versatile shoe that you’ll wear all the time, hands down this is it! The color is perfect, it’s leg lengthening, and it works with everything from dresses to all your favorite denim and skirts. You already know how I feel about neutral shoes … but just in case you’d like a refresher, look at this recent blog post.

#2 – Vince ballet flat: We all need a good basic flat in our wardrobes, and this Vince one is a top seller. Lately I’ve been noticing women wearing ballet flats instead of sandals with dresses and skirts. These are comfy and ideal to grab while they’re on sale.

#3 – Zoe Chicco: Adding a diamond necklace to your stack will take everything to the next level. This necklace layers with every piece of jewelry you already have, and it’s pretty and sparkly. I’ve worn mine for two years straight, and I sleep and shower with it. You can use this code: SOSUSIE15 for 15% off. If you’ve been dreaming about a sparkly bracelet, this one is on sale at Nordstrom.

#4 – Stuart Weitzman loafers: I’ve worn my soft white Gucci loafers many times in recent months, and talk about versatile! However, these Stuart Weitzmans are perfect for spring, and I’ve shared them endless times on many recent style boards. I highly recommend them!

#5 – Veronica Beard Dash bag: Veronica Beard recently added handbags to their collection, and this Dash bag is one of my favorites. It’s the perfect size and it looks like a designer bag. Check out more colors here.

Bonus: Glamorous sunglasses elevate every outfit, and I saw a few on the Nordstrom site worth looking at, like this Gucci pair and this Saint Laurent pair

The Very Best Dresses

Left: Farm Rio dress | Bag | Sandals | Right: ALC dress | Cult Gaia bag

#6 – ALC Renzo dress: I’ve talked about this dress non-stop for the past two years. It’s pretty much my answer for almost every event, which makes it one of my top picks! If you need something dressier, try it in black. And, if you’re going to a wedding or another special event, try it in navy, just for a change. It runs true to size, and it’s flattering on mostly everyone. Don’t forget a strapless bra!

#7 – Veronica Beard Denim dress: This midi-style dress is super stylish, and I’ve shared it several times on the blog. It goes well with casual sandals and a straw bag, but you can also dress it up and wear it to a luncheon or other daytime event. See more VB F&F faves here.

#8 – Cinq a Sept dresses: If you’re looking for a special event dress, Cinq a Sept is one of the first places to look. This ruffle dress is a personal favorite, I wore it to several events and felt a little extra! There’s this best selling one that’s perfect for a graduation or day time wedding, and I also spotted this one. Some of the items are are part of F&F sales, and for the ones that aren’t, you can use my discount code: SUSIE15. This might involve making two orders — but you’ll get the best deal!

#9 – Vince best-seller dresses: If you’re looking for a simple black dress that’s flattering and versatile, consider this one. Try it with a denim jacket, leather jacket, blazer … the list goes on. I stayed with my usual size XS. There’s also this best-selling slipdress in a new pretty color, and this wrap shirtdress that I recently shared in the Nordstrom Monthly Drop. Click here to see all the Vince dresses on sale.

#10 – Frame white midi dress: I think everyone should have a white dress, and this one is back in stock! It’s super flattering and versatile. Last year it sold out, so grab it now while it’s on sale. You’ll wear it all season long! See more Frame F&F picks here.

My Denim Faves

Left: Paige Anessa jean | Clare V. basket bag | Middle: Linen blazer | Mother Hustler | Right: Frame top | Frame white jeans

#11 – Frame Reboot: If you’re looking for a classic flare jean, the brand new Frame Reboot fits nicely and I highly recommend both the ankle length or the long length. Frame recently got a new designer (thanks to AGOLDE), and she has completely re-designed the denim line at Frame. Check it out here.

#12 – Petite jeans: Talk about a game changer if you’re 5’4″ and under! The knee placement is higher, and the rise and inseam are shorter, so everything fits where it should. Some favorites I’ve tried include: Mother Hustler Roller, Mother Hustler, Frame Le Pixie Ruler, and Paige Anessa in the Helena wash. Love them all.

#13 – Paige Laurel Canyon: This is another super flattering, long length denim. I’ve been wearing this white version (petite here) lately, and it goes with absolutely everything. I just noticed yesterday that Paige has joined in the F&F fun.

#14 – Frame Le Slim Palazzo: This is one of their best selling fits. It feels modern and new, and I suggest you pick up a pair — they’re amazing. If you’re under 5’4″, be sure and check out their Le Pixie version which is for petites.

#15 – Mother denim: You all know how much I love Mother Denim! Here are the best-selling styles to try: the Insider, the Hustler or the Rambler. You can’t go wrong with any of them.

Jackets and Third Pieces

Left: Frame denim jacket | Norma Kamali dress | Right: Khloe blazer | Paige jeans

#16 – Cinq a Sept Holly jacket: I’ve gone on and on and on about this jacket … but it really is that good! It’s the perfect “third piece” to wear once the weather warms up. The fabric has a slight sheen, and the sleeve detail is pretty and feminine. Check out the color options on sale here and here (Use code: SUSIE15 for 15% off on the Cinq a Sept website).

#17 – Veronica Beard Miller Dickey blazer in blue: There’s nothing prettier than a matching suit, and this gorgeous blue blazer and matching pant are on sale at Veronica Beard. Wear with a strappy sandal for a more feminine look — talk about elegant!

#18 – Rag & Bone Slade blazer: This is one of the best blazers available, and I hardly ever see it go on sale. If you’re looking for a black one, the wool version is definitely the best (they’re all available online). If you like camel, this Ponte fabric one is a good option. They’re all super comfortable and really versatile, so they’re worth the investment! (Use code: SUSIEFF10 for an extra 10% off on the Rag & Bone website)

#19 – Cinq a Sept Khloe blazer: This blazer rarely goes on sale and it’s one of my highest recommendations. The crepe fabric can be worn year ’round, and the scrunch detail on the sleeves gives it casual look that’s perfect over dresses or jeans. So easy and chic!

#20 – BA&SH Gaspard cardigan: Sometimes a cardigan feels more comfortable than a blazer, and this one is slightly structured with shoulder pads and pretty gold buttons. Just the other day, a good friend was looking for something to wear over a dress. After giving it some thought, I decided this would be perfect so I told her about it. She loved the look! Don’t wait on this one.

My Best Picks: Tops

Left: Frame Sailor blouse | Jeans | Sandals | Zoe Chicco necklace | Gigi Clozeau necklace | Right: Frame popover shirt | Le Sleek jeans | Ballet flats, similar | Loewe tote | Pink sweater

#21 – Frame Gillian blouse: This pretty blouse is worth every penny, and now that it’s on sale, I’d highly recommend grabbing one! I prefer the non-shiny one in either black or soft white. It’s so pretty, and the feminine puff sleeve is a nice detail.

#22 – Frame Popover top: I now have this top in three colors, which I never do!! It’s comfortable, the sleeve hits perfectly, and just the other night I wore it under this Theory jacket. Right now, the striped one is on sale, along with this new pretty blue color.

#23 – Vince silk blouse: This blouse is really pretty, and you can wear it most seasons. It’s a best-seller and you’ll year it for years to come. Pair it with denim or trousers and you’ll be good to go. Check out more Vince favorites on sale here.

#24 – Spring sweaters: This Rag & Bone sweater is the prettiest shade of robin’s egg blue — and it also comes in a striped version. This pink sweater that I’ve been wearing non-stop from J.Crew is also on sale. Rails has some favorite sweaters too, like this crochet one and this knit one with embroidered flutter sleeves.

#25 – Alice & Olivia blouse: This leopard blouse is on trend and so pretty! Flowy feminine blouses are also having a moment, and it was part of the March Nordstrom Drop.
