7 spring fashion trends you need to know!
There has been a lot of talk about fashion basics around here lately, and about the staple pieces you need to build a great spring wardrobe — which is both fun and inspiring! It’s always exciting to move into a new season 😊 But what I’m REALLY passionate about, day in day out, is sharing stylish, wearable pieces that work for any age. I believe these are the little secrets to staying youthful and confident! Then, if you then add a few on-trend pieces to your wardrobe, it keeps your look current. So, here are 7 spring fashion trends you need to know!

#1 Bright, pretty colors
This is probably one of my favorite trends: bright, pretty colors that just read “happy!” Orange is one of the most popular colors, and Vince has some of the cutest pieces, like this dress and this blouse. Farm Rio, a Brazilian brand, is producing some of the coolest prints, and I love this dress and this swimsuit. For a solid colored dress, this one is gorgeous (and in my shopping bag). Consider adding a fun, bright color, it will liven up your wardrobe!

#2 Green: not going away
Green looks good on almost everyone (depending on your skin tone), and it’s surprisingly versatile. There are many shades to choose from this season, and this trend is strong right now, so find one that suits your skin tone and go for it! This dress is forgiving and bra friendly, and it’s a bright shade of green, so I bought it myself 🙂 And check out this tote, this oversized shirt and this shoe.

#3 Pretty sleeve details
This trend continues, and I’m loving all the pretty blouses like this white Ganni one. Puff sleeve dress choices are also abundant this spring, and this La Ligne dress caught my eye. And, if you want something more casual, look at this puff sleeve t-shirt by Frame, this flutter sleeve top by Rails and this dress, also by Rails. All so feminine … and easy!

#4 Maxi dresses are back
You gotta love a good maxi dress, and you can wear it casually, running errands with flat sandals and a canvas bag. Of course, maxi dresses are also perfect for vacations and any summer BBQ. If you’re on the petite side (like me at 5’1″), then look for styles that have a little shape on top and not too much volume.

#5 Wide-leg pants
I can’t remember the last time I wore my skinny jeans, and while I’m not tossing them, I’m making room for wider leg jeans and pants. Right now I’m seeing full-length styles like this Vince trouser, perfect with a simple t-shirt like this one by ATM. There are also cropped versions — this one by Paige is a good one, and so is this Rag & Bone.

#6 Sandal trends
It’s sandal season, and there are so many trends — everything from woven styles like this best-selling Dolce Vita to bright colors. Many sandals I’m seeing have a square toe, which gives a more modern look. There are metallic sandals like this and this, and of course a great neutral brown shade is so versatile! My favorites are this and this. Since the options are plentiful, now is the time to grab a pair or two.
#7 Oversized bomber jackets
I spotted the bomber jacket trend on the runway, and just LOVE the look with a really short skirt. Of course that’s not really in the cards for most of us (!!) so Plan B (and just as stylish) is a bomber over a slip dress, or a more fitted t-shirt dress like the one I’m wearing above, or with any cool pair of jeans!
