The one item everyone is talking about!
What is the one item everyone is talking about? Blazers! You all have been asking many questions lately (which I love), and many of them are about this super important wardrobe piece. Sample questions include: which blazer is more versatile, the Cinq A Sept or the Veronica Beard? Do they run big or small? Are they worth the money? And then: are there some affordable options you love? Well, since adding this “third” piece to every outfit is the key to getting dressed and looking stylish, I decided it was time to write a blog post about it!
A “third piece” is an extra item that pulls together your outfit and instantly elevates it. This piece can be a blazer, a jacket or a sweater. It completes all your outfits by adding versatility and options, and it’s a staple everyone should own. Today’s post is all about blazers, starting with my honest opinions on three of the best sellers: Veronica Beard, Cinq A Sept and L’Agence. I’m also sharing a little street style inspo and some brand new style boards. Of course, I’ll also talk about some other affordable blazer options, like this easy style from Anthropologie and this Veronica Beard dupe — they’re both so good, and under $200. I hope these tips help you find the perfect blazer to complete all your outfits!
P.S. The So Susie website has gotten a little update! First, we’ve added a few shops – vacation, travel, and most recently, handbags. It has been really fun, and I hope you like them. Check out the latest IG Reels video here – featuring my new favorite sport bra! My favorite of-the-moment blazers
These are hands down my favorite blazers right now! They’re versatile, all-season and and easy to wear. I find that the Veronica Beard ones run a size big, and the Cinq A Sept ones run a little big, unless you have broader shoulders — then stick with your usual size. The L’Agence blazer runs a touch small.
Cinq A Sept — A beautiful, relaxed, all-season crepe blazer with rouched sleeves, avail here
L’Agence Kenzie blazer – Double-breasted tweed blazer, super stylish and perfect with denim
Veronica Beard Miller Dickey jacket – This is the #1 best-seller at VB, and it’s reminiscent of a pricier Balmain. Ivory avail at Nordstrom, black avail here
Veronica Beard Scuba Dickey jacket  (not pictured) – This original best-selling blazer was my go-to in the dressing room. The hidden zippers in both styles allow for all the cool dickeys to be zipped in. So clever!

Patterned blazers
Once you’re covered in the essentials department, then adding a checked or patterned blazer of some kind is a great way to round out your wardrobe. When I was in New York this past fall, every cool girl was wearing this uniform: blazer, faded denim, sneakers and a baseball hat. So stylish!

Everett favorites – under $150
Faux leather blazers
I can’t think of a cooler style blazer than a leather or faux leather one. Recently my girlfriend called asking for a leather jacket idea, and initially she was thinking about a moto-style jacket. Although the moto is still a wardrobe basic, a blazer is just a little more stylish, and super polished for her real estate job. I just picked up this one from Evereve — it’s a relaxed style for $168 — I wore it last night with a hoodie layered underneath.

Affordable blazer options
I totally get it that not everyone is ready to invest in an expensive blazer, so trying a lower-priced one totally makes sense! I picked up this one at Anthropologie, and it’s relaxed, making it a great option to wear with denim and sneakers or a casual loafer. This one is one of the best VB dupes I’ve seen. Here are a few others that caught my eye.
